What's New with the MMP in 2021

We're excited to announce that the latest version of the MMP launched on January 11th, 2021. We made fewer changes to the surveys this year but here are a few of the updates we have made to improve your experience:

  • We removed the "About the person completing this survey" section from all surveys
  • Municipalities can now identify if the county or another regional agency is responsible for providing collection programs to residents.
  • Material weights for each program can now be entered in kilograms
  • We added a new field to identify how service providers are collecting materials:
    • Automated collection (hauler collects carts using a lift)
    • Semi-automated collection (hauler moved cart into position before using lift)
    • Manual collection (hauler manually empties containers).

As a reminder, by marking surveys as "completed", municipalities will unlock a suite of sophisticated analytics designed to measure program performance, benchmark results against peers, and calculate the economic benefits of recycling.

The MMP team would like to thank all the counties and regional government agencies that participated in the beta testing phase of the MMP for counties/regions. We appreciate all the feedback we received and look forward to launching the MMP for counties and regional agencies in March, 2021.
